Busan City Establishes 6th Comprehensive Plan for Strategic Industry Development and Selects Leading Companies
On the 24th, the Busan Metropolitan Government held the “2024 Strategic Industry Leading Company Certification Ceremony” at the Westin Josun Hotel in Haeundae, awarding certificates to a total of 99 companies.
This event was organized as part of Busan’s 6th Comprehensive Plan for Strategic Industry Development, aimed at systematically fostering regional industries and elevating them to a global level.
At the ceremony, Hanbit Innotech was selected as a Hidden Champion in the solar power generation systems sector. Meanwhile, two affiliates of Panstar Group—Panstar Enterprise and Panstar Tech Solution—were recognized as leading companies in the maritime industry.
Hanbit Innotech has been focusing on the development of solar and renewable energy technologies based on its certified green technologies.
Panstar Group has established itself as a representative company of Busan by leveraging its strengths in shipping and logistics services.
Additionally, Daeha has contributed to technological innovation as a leading company in the energy technology industry.
Busan Mayor Park Heong-joon stated,
“Busan has the full potential to grow into a global hub city. Together with leading companies, we will drive innovation and growth in regional industries.”
The Busan Metropolitan Government also announced plans to invest over KRW 3 trillion by 2028, in collaboration with the certified leading companies, with the goal of promoting technological innovation and revitalizing the local economy.
