Residential Support Program

If renewable energy systems such as solar PV, solar thermal, geothermal, small wind power, and fuel cells are installed in residential homes, the government provides partial financial support for installation costs.
This program reduces fossil fuel consumption while simultaneously lowering electricity bills and carbon emissions.

※ Buildings owned by the national or local governments are not eligible

※ Solar PV installation is only available when the KEPCO contract type is residential

What Is a Solar-Powered Home?

An eco-friendly residential house where electricity generated by installing solar modules on the roof, rooftop, or windows is directly consumed within the household.

Process

Sign Up & Select Participating Company

The applicant signs up on the NR website and selects the region, energy source, and participating company.

Contract Review & Execution

The participating company reviews the application and proceeds with the contract.

Submission of Project Application

After signing the contract, the applicant submits the project application to the Renewable Energy Center.

Document Review & Approval

The center reviews the submitted documents and grants approval. (SMS notification sent)

Self-Funding Notice & Payment

After receiving virtual account details, the applicant must pay the self-funded amount within 7 days.

Installation Commencement & Completion

The participating company carries out the installation, and the center verifies the results.

contribution to the participating company.
